Why This Mom Became An It Works Distributor

When I was 18 I found out I was pregnant, and since finding out, I’ve worked hard to make sure my daughter had a roof over her head and food on the table. I worked tons of odd jobs, working as a farm hand, a personal assistant, taking insurance at a doctor’s office, a barista and more.

Sometimes, I was doing most of those jobs all at once, leaving my daughter at daycare or with her babysitter. Some days the transitions were even harder for her when she had to move between three different care takers in one day because I had to work 3 different jobs. Not to mention, daycare costs were about $650-750 a month at this time, so I was really not being left with much money except for what I needed to pay the rent and buy minimal groceries.

ChianyDriLife was not easy but I loved my daughter and knew that providing for her was a priority, even if that meant I didn’t get to spend as much quality time with her as I wanted to.

In 2013 I decided to invest in my future and embarked on a journey to become a certified health coach. I started getting really into health and wellness after gaining a lot of weight in pregnancy and then losing it all with diet change and whole foods and I thought that the perfect way to put that experience to good use was to study nutrition and clean eating so that I could turn around and help other people find health and balance in their lives, too.

In 2014 I got my certification and started working as a health coach, running groups and working with clients one-on-one. Nothing made me feel better than eating well and nourishing my body and my daughter’s body with the best foods, but even my training in various dietary theories couldn’t rid me of my wrinkled stomach and mom pooch.

Clean eating could keep me at a healthy weight but could not take away the physical changes I experienced from pregnancy and birth.

It was at this point that I saw a friend of mine posting about these Magical It Works wraps that smoothed stomachs and helped flatten bellies and I was instantly skeptical, and still intrigued.

It took me 3 months to finally decide to try the wraps. My friend promised they would tone and tighten my stomach within 45 minutes and I thought “this has to be a scam”, but I still decided to buy in just to say I had tried everything.

After not seeing results from my first wrap, I was almost sure that this could not be real, but I still tried another and that’s where I noticed the difference. You could see that my stomach looked a lot smoother and that was enough for me to wholeheartedly believe in the product!

Around the same time that I was seeing results with the wraps, I had decided to go back to school and I knew that I would need to put my coaching practice aside to focus on furthering my education. The same friend who sold me the wraps suggested that I join her in making money from my cell phone.

She said if I was going to be buying them, I might as well sell them and make a little money as well. It took me another 3 months to finally say yes to this opportunity, but in January 2016, I did!

When I started my business with It Works, I really didn’t see myself going far. I didn’t see myself making more than maybe $200 a month, and I was fine with that because I knew that any extra money would help, but when I boxed in for Ruby 2 months later I was shocked and felt completely empowered to continue on and go as far as I possibly could!

It Works RubyI made my Ruby status official in April which made me an average of $500 a month, way more than the $200 I was originally striving for. Since then, I’ve built a team of over 25 people and over 120 customers! I’ll be up for an Emerald promotion at the end of July and I can’t wait to see where I can take this amazing business. It really has changed the way I interact with the world around me and with my family.

I’m so much more involved in my community now that I have the time to be. I spend every day with my daughter, spend more time on self care than I’ve ever had the chance to before, and now we are saving up for a big road trip in August and we couldn’t be more excited.

The greatest thing this business has given me is the confidence and the freedom I’ve needed to live the life I’ve wanted and to be the mother I dreamed of becoming.

It Works Global is more than just a direct sales company. It’s become a family, a support system, and I’ve made lifelong friends from working my amazing business!

No matter how skeptical I was at the beginning of my journey, when I finally jumped in and took the risk, I learned that nothing is really impossible for me or my family and that I can have the things I want in my life without any excuses.

The business gave me so much more than a steady paycheck every month, but it helped me to rewire my thoughts and better shape my reality into one where my goals are completely in reach, as opposed to one where I am forever chasing my dreams without success.

Being a mother, a partner, a student, and a business owner is not easy, but embracing my daughter each night before bed knowing that I’m not too tired anymore to read her that last book or sing her just one more song, means the world to me. There is no greater joy in life than having the freedom to create lasting memories with those you love the
